Women’s Political Caucus of New Jersey Endorses Kathe Donovan for Bergen County Executive

The Women’s Political Caucus of New Jersey (WPCNJ) is proud to announce its endorsement of Kathe Donovan for Bergen County Executive. 

Jennie Lamon-Mullen, Chair of the WPCNJ Republican Task Force, said, "Kathe Donovan, BergenCounty’s and New Jersey’s first and only elected womanCounty Executive, is an outstanding leader for the people of New Jersey. She has dedicated her career to public service and advancing issues important to women, children and families. In 2011, WPCNJ honored Donovan with the Barbara Boggs Sigmund award for the inspiring example she has set as a public leader."

Mary Dougherty is currently Vice Chairwoman of the Morris County Committee and has served as Chairwoman of the Morristown Democratic Committee for the past 8 years.

WPCNJ Announces Endorsement of Candidates for 2013 Legislative Races

On Thursday, October 17th, the Women’s Political Caucus of New Jersey (WPCNJ) announced the endorsement of candidates for the November 2013 Legislative race.

Flanked by women from both sides of the aisle including: Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver, Senator Diane Allen, Senator Linda Greenstein, Senator Loretta Weinberg, District 18 Assembly Candidate Nancy Pinkin(D), District 25 Senate candidate Maureen Castriotta (I), and District 26 Senate candidate Avery Ann Hart (D), WPCNJ Political Resource Director Shari Weiner announced that the WPCNJ is endorsing thirty-six women in their bids to win seats in the state Senate and Assembly.

On Tuesday, March 20th, the Board of the Women's Political Caucus of New Jersey (WPCNJ) appointed Jeannine LaRue to serve as Interim Chair of the WPCNJ-PAC. Jeannine has extensive experience in government, serving in elected and appointed roles, and has worked as a respected and influential lobbyist in Trenton for three decades. Most recently she served on the congressional redistricting committee and was one of a select group of women honored on PolitickerNJ’s “The Power List 2011 & Year in Review”.
