Bill Palatucci is one of the state's most prominent and widely respected attorneys, with a reputation for strategic planning and advice regarding complex public policy and communications initiatives. He has been named among NJBIZ's "100 Most Powerful People in New Jersey Business" every year that the issue has been published. Mr. Palatucci began his legal career in 1993 at Dughi & Hewit, P.C. where he founded the firm's government affairs practice. In 2001, he became a partner in the firm and the firm's name was changed to Dughi, Hewit & Palatucci, P.C. In 2010, he was elected the Republican National Committeeman for New Jersey, and for the past 30 years he has had a hand in some of the most important state and federal elections in New Jersey. Over this time, he has led the reelection campaigns of President Ronald Reagan, President George H. W. Bush and Governor Tom Kean and served as a senior advisor to Gov. George W. Bush's presidential campaign in 2000. Mr. Palatucci was also the principal consultant for Christine Todd Whitman's run for the U.S. Senate in 1990. Most recently, Mr. Palatucci served as Chairman of Gov. Chris Christie's 2013 reelection campaign and as Co-Chair for the Governor's Inaugural Committee. Prior to joining Gibbons, Mr. Palatucci previously served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Public Affairs at Community Education Centers. In 2005, he earned an Emmy Award nomination in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the category of Outstanding Talk Program Series for "The Battling Bills," a program he co-created with Bill Pascrell, III. In 2014, Mr. Palatucci was presented with the Seton Hall University School of Law's Distinguished Graduate Award. He currently serves as a member of the Seton Hall Law School Board of Visitors, as well as a member of the National Advisory Board for the Heldrich Center for Workforce Development at Rutgers University, and Chair of the University of Phoenix Board of Trustees for its Jersey City, NJ campus. Mr. Palatucci earned his J.D. from the Seton Hall University School of Law, and is a 1980 graduate of Rutgers College where he also was an Undergraduate Associate at the Eagleton Institute of Politics. He lives in Westfield with his wife, Laura, where they have raised three daughters. |
