Mercer County Surrogate Diane Gerofsky welcomes WPCNJ members, honorees, and their guests to the Annual Conference.
The Woman of Achievement award was presented to Assemblywoman and Assistant Majority Leader Linda Greenstein by Hamilton Council President Eileen P. Thornton. They are joined by WPCNJ President Marianne McConnell, member of the Victims of Violent Crimes Compensation Board.
Former legislator Joan Wright accepts the Woman of Achievement award on behalf of former Assemblywoman Rose Heck.
Rita Strmensky, Executive Director of the New Jersey Ethical Standards Commission, was presented with the Mary Philbrook Award by Bergen County Freeholder Lisa Randall and Jeanne M. Fox, president of the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities.

March for Women's Lives

The NWPC and the WPCNJ joined with over 1,500 organizations as co-sponsors of the march. A head count by organizers showed a record-setting number of protesters - almost 1.15 million. People from all over the country marched down the National Mall to protest policies that adversely affect women's lives. Sitting in front, with a contingent from the NWPC, is WPCNJ President Marianne McConnell, fourth from the left.
